Ennis, Mont., June 25, 2010 — The Forest Service will sponsor its 13th annual wildflower tour of the Gravelly Range on Thurs., July 8, starting at 10 a.m.
The free tour winds through the Gravelly Range in Madison County which is noted for a spectacular, high-elevation display of wildflowers. Officials have noted that due to the wet spring weather, wildflower displays are likely to be especially good.
The tour will begin at the Forest Service office in Ennis and proceed towards the Gravelly Range. Participants are advised to dress for inclement weather; bring lunch and water, and a high-clearance vehicle.
Forest Service employees on the tour will help identify plants seen along the way. For more information, contact the Forest Service in Ennis at (406) 682-4253.
