Fremont County Planning & Zoning Commission meets at 6 p.m. in the County Annex, 125 N. Bridge Street, St. Anthony. Joint Meeting With County Commissioners, public hearing on a proposed text amendment to expand the Planning and Zoning Commission by two members.

Fremont County Snowmobile Advisory Committee meets at 7 p.m. at the Island Park Ranger Station. Tentative agenda: FY 2011 Funding; Recreation Bridge, problems with bridge construction; Osborne Bridge, application for resurfacing; Dual use concern at Mack's Inn.
Friday, September 10
Teton Regional Land Trust celebrates the Sandhill Crane Migration, 5:30 p.m. at the Senior Center in Driggs City Hall on Main Street. Presentation on the history and habits of sandhill cranes by Idaho Department of Fish and Game’s Upper Snake Regional Biologist, Rob Cavallaro. 7th annual Upper Valley Pink Tea, Saturday, September 25 at Pond’s Lodge in Island Park. Island Park hosts this event for the first time, and it’s a luncheon! Theme is “Building Community Support.”
Arrive at Pond’s at 11 a. m. to view silent auction items and chat with friends old and new. Lunch served at noon. Inspirational program and the usual amazing door prizes! $20 per person includes lunch and raises money to help Fremont County residents challenged by breast cancer.

Veterans Day Observance. All veterans, please meet at 10:30 a. m. in the Veterans Hall in St. Anthony — retired, National Guard, and all other vets. At 10:50 a.m. vets will march to the World War I Memorial in Clyde Keefer Memorial Park. Honor our veterans, both living and dead, with a prayer, rifle volley, and Taps. All citizens are welcome. Island Park Sportsman’s Club 38th annual Wild Game Feed, 7 p.m. at Pond's Lodge. Bring Pond’s your own game dish or any wild game to prepare. A new shotgun will be raffled and there will be other prizes. Enjoy a great meal featuring deer, elk, antelope, moose, duck, grouse, fish and other items. Pond’s will serve some main courses but please also prepare your own wild game dish or another side dish, salad, or dessert and bring it to the feast. This event is also a membership drive for the club. Renew your membership or join this organization dedicated to preserving fishing and hunting opportunities in the area.
